The automotive world is increasingly attracting women to strategic positions, as proven by Linda Jackson (PEUGEOT CEO), Véra Carpentier (New 308 Product Manager) and Marjorie Lhuillier (Customer Synthesis Manager)’s roles in the design of the new Peugeot 308.
When asked about the impact of having women behind the project, they all agree that a woman will indeed emphasise the practical aspects such as the size of the cabin or the ease of opening the boot for example.
On the other hand, they say that the strength of a team lies in its diversity in general (gender, age, culture, etc.) and that the 308 is aimed at everyone, especially couples, who represent 70 to 80% of users. The important thing is always to satisfy customers by meeting their expectations.
Linda Jackson says that, in any case, receiving the Women's World Car of the Year award from an all-female panel of judges from around the world is a fabulous achievement.
