MEETING PEUGEOT FANS ON INSTAGRAM 

Did you know that the first known social network is .... 50,000 years old? Already in prehistoric Africa, people thousands of kilometres apart interacted with each other using jewellery made from ostrich eggshells.

Today, social networks are now a must: Instagram has almost 1.2 billion users worldwide and the average time spent on the network is about 10 hours per month, per user.

Fans of all stripes, enthusiasts of all kinds: Instagram is THE place to be to show off your bubbling enthusiasm to as many people as possible.

PEUGEOT fans are largely no exception. Many Instagram accounts are exclusively dedicated to the Lion Brand.

Who are these car enthusiasts, PEUGEOT fanatics? How do they manage their accounts and what is their relationship with their subscribers? What advice do they have on how to show off their PEUGEOT vehicle? To find out a little more, we went to meet them through a few "Chinese portrait" questions.

That's why I created an Instagram account: it's while looking for where to post all my pictures that I got the idea to create this nice account @misspeugeot308.

I can share and exchange tips: washing, photos, nice places, etc. There's nothing like Instagram to meet other car fans and PEUGEOT fans in particular! On Instagram, I'm often teased about my parking habits (I admit it's not my speciality!) and I have to confess that I play around a bit sometimes.

My photographic advice
 

I use my phone exclusively for my photos. I find that the prettiest photos are often those taken at random from a cloud, an uncertain weather, a season...

I want my photos to be simple, natural, without retouching or filters. In the end, it suits me: maybe I am a bit like that!

I discovered PEUGEOT thanks to an accident! My car was damaged and I needed a new car quickly to cover my daily commute. My brother had a PEUGEOT and suggested that I take an interest in this brand. When I photograph cars, I always pay attention to the light first. You have to find a place that is neither too sunny nor too dark. The time of day is also important: for example, photos taken at dusk are often too dark, even if the light is beautiful.

As I belong to a "PEUGEOT 406" club, we sometimes get unusual requests, such as getting as many 406s as possible to escort a wedding or finding spare parts to repair a 406 in less than an hour. Finally, I realise that PEUGEOT is not just a brand but really a community of people.

To be successful in my Instagram photos, I try to choose the best possible angle. With experience, I think you should take the car from 3/4 rear or front. For me, that's the best way to get the best look because you can see the whole car.
